PRIVACY NOTICE

In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data in Possession of Individuals (the “Law”), its Regulation (the “Regulation”) and the Guidelines of the Privacy Notice, TARSUS MEXICO, S.A. DE C.V. and TARSUS SERVICES, S. DE R.L. DE CV, address Insurgentes Sur, number 664, 4th Floor, Colonia Del Valle, Delegación Benito Juárez, Postal Code 03100, Mexico City (“Tarsus”), make this Privacy Notice (the “Notice”), available to any individual who registers, attends or is referred by another as interested in the exhibitions and conferences they organize (the “Data Subject”), individually or in conjunction with an Associate.

I. DATA CONTROLLER

Tarsus México, will be the only entity responsible for the Data Handling of the Personal Data collected for the events organized solely by Tarsus México, namely:
EBIO EXPO BELLEZA INTERNACIONAL DE OCCIDENTE®, EBIO NORTE, EXPO MANUFACTURA®, PLASTIMAGEN MÉXICO®, THE GREEN EXPO GLOBAL RESOURCES ENVIRONMENTAL & ENERGY NETWORK®
Both Tarsus México and the Associates listed below will be responsible for the Data Handling of the Personal Data collected for the following events which are organized jointly between Tarsus México and the Associates:
AQUATECH MEXICO, ENERGY MEXICO OIL AND GAS POWER®, EXPO PRODUCCIÓN®, GREENTECH AMERICAS, INTERSOLAR MEXICO, INTERTRAFFIC MEXICO, MEXICO WINDPOWER®, EXPO RESTAURANTES®, UTECH LAS AMÉRICAS.

Tarsus México and its Associates are bound by agreements whereby said Associates are obliged to handle the Personal Data that is collected for the jointly organized events in accordance with the provisions of this Notice. Although each party will be individually responsible for the Data Handling of the Personal Data of the Data Subject, Tarsus México will be responsible for receiving and answering any request to exercise rights that the Data Subject wishes to assert.

I. PERSONAL DATA

  • Registered Subjects. Tarsus Mexico collects Personal Data from Data Subjects who register to attend any of its events, through the website of the event in question or in the screens that are in the main access to the event. Personal Data collected includes: full name; birthdate; gender; email; home address; home telephone number; mobile phone number; company, organization, association, chamber or body to which Data Subject belongs and his/her position held; as well as the budget destined to the purchase of goods and / or services in the event.
    In the event of a payment for access to an event, Tarsus Mexico collects the following additional information from the Data Subjects, according to the payment method chosen: in case of payment by electronic transfer, the bank account number contained in the corresponding receipt, or, in the case of online payment, the number and security code of the credit or debit card to which the charge will be made.
    Tarsus Mexico also collects the Federal Register of Taxpayers Number of the Data Subject who requests tax receipts of payments.
  • Attendee. Tarsus México does not collect additional or extra Personal Data on the Data Subjects who attend events than that previously indicated.
  • Referred Subjects. Tarsus Mexico can request that Data Subjects who register or attend their events recommend a person who may be interested in attending an event. In this case, Tarsus México will collect the following Personal Data from the Referred Data Subject: full name, email, landline telephone number and / or mobile phone number.

II. PURPOSE

The Personal Data of the Data Subject can be used by Tarsus Mexico for the following main purposes:

  • Registered Subjects. To register the Data Subject for the event, to confirm his/her registration and attendance, to organize the event, to inform him/her of any change in the event, to manage his/her payment and to issue the corresponding payment or tax receipts.
  • Asistente. For his/her entry to the event and to provide the services and / or goods that are offered within it.

Additionally, the Personal Data of the Data Subject may be used by Tarsus Mexico for the following secondary purposes:

  • Registered Subject. To provide information on future events by electronic means, as well as to request references of people who might be interested in the events.
    The Registered Data Subject may deny Data Handling of his/her Personal Data for purposes of receiving information on future events by electronic means by marking the checkboxes that will appear at the end of the form used to collect his/her Personal Data.
    The Registered Data Subject may refuse to provide references of people who might be interested in the events by selecting the corresponding box in the electronic form used to collect his/her Personal Data.
    Information on the budget allocated to the purchase of goods and / or services from the event is used to obtain the estimated sales projection of the event. Providing this Personal Data is optional for the Data Subject, and he/she may therefore decline to allow the Data Handling of his/her Personal Data for said secondary purpose.
  • AttendeeTo provide information on future events via telephone, to carry out digital or face-to-face surveys during the event, as well as to request references of people who might be interested in the event by telephone.
    The Data Subject (attendee) may deny the Data Handling of his/her Personal Data for the purpose of receiving information about future events via telephone, as well as for the purpose of conducting digital surveys, by marking the checkboxes that will appear at the end of the form used to collect his/her Personal Data.
    In the case of digital surveys, the Data Subject (attendee) may express his / her refusal by marking the checkbox located at the end of the electronic form used to collect his/her Personal Data.
    The Data Subject (attendee) may deny the Data Handling of his/her Personal Data for the purpose of performing face-to-face interviews during the event or for the purpose of providing references of people interested in the event. This refusal may be expressed directly to the interviewer or executive who contacts him/her for that purpose.
  • Referred Subject. To provide information on events.
    The Data Subject (referred) may deny the Data Handling of his/her Personal Data for the purpose of receiving information about events via the invitation email received or directly by telephone with the executive who has contacted him/her.

III. TECHNOLOGY

Tarsus México does not use mechanisms in remote or local means of electronic communication, or other technologies that allow Personal Data to be collected automatically and simultaneously at the point of contact.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the following Tarsus México Internet pages listed below may contain cookies and / or other similar technologies that allow them to work properly to, for example, collect or store the information that the Data Subject (registered) has provided through the form used to collect his/her Personal Data. The Personal Data obtained through said internet pages will be treated at all times in accordance with the terms of this Notice.
Tarsus México will inform the Data Subject about the use of these cookies and / or technologies by means of a visible warning on the website in question, which the Data Subject may disable by following the procedure established by the browser. It is possible that by disabling such cookies and / or technologies, the Data Subject may be unable to access certain functions of the internet pages.

In light of this, Tarsus México disclaims all responsibility for the technologies used in said pages and recommends that the Data Subject consult the corresponding Privacy Policies as these sites are not subject to this Notice.

IV. CONSENT

It is understood that the Data Subject has granted his/her consent for the Data Handling of his/her Personal Data in accordance with the terms and conditions of this Notice, when: (i) it is expressly stated; or (ii) he/she does not manifest any opposition to the Notice when said Notice is made available to him/her.

V. TRANSFERS

Personal Data may be subject to the following transfers by Tarsus México that do not require the consent of the Data Subject in respect to Article 37 of the Law:

  • Tax Administration Service: Tax Administration Service
  • Companies within the Tarsus México group: for storage and backup purposes.

Tarsus México may transfer the Personal Data of the Data Subject to a sponsor and / or exhibitor of the event in order for them to promote or sell the products or services of interest to the Data Subject. The Data Subject consents to this transfer when it allows a sponsor and / or exhibitor access to the barcode of the document provided by Tarsus Mexico to enter an exhibition or event. In the event of the Data Subject not wanting his/her Personal Data to be transferred to any sponsor and / or exhibitor, he/she must deny access to the barcode of said document.

VI. RIGHTS OF THE DATA SUBJECT

The Data Subject has the right to: (i) limit the use or disclosure of his/her Personal Data, (ii) access his/her Personal Data; (iii) be informed about the Data Handling given to his/her Personal Data; (iv) request the correction of his/her Personal Data in cases where information is inaccurate or incomplete; (v) request the cancellation of his/her Personal Data; (vi) oppose the Data Handling of his/her Personal Data; and (vii) revoke consent for the Data Handling of his/her Personal Data.
The Data Subject may enforce said rights through the corresponding process, in which he/she must provide the following information: name and address of the Data Subject; document that proves the identity of the Data Subject or, if applicable, the documents that prove the representation thereof, a clear and precise description of the Personal Data with respect to which it seeks to exercise any of the rights indicated in the previous paragraph, and any other element that facilitates the identification of the Personal Data.
In the event of the Data Subject wishing to access his/her Personal Data, Tarsus México will comply with the request allowing access to the Personal Data on site, issuing simple copies, electronic documents or any other means that allows Personal Data to be made available to the Data Subject.
The request must be presented to the Department of Personal Data Protection of Tarsus México. Once received, it will be answered by the Personal Data Department, who will respond in writing to the request within a period no longer than 20 (twenty) business days from the date of submission of the request of the Data Subject. The response of the Department of Personal Data Protection will be notified by post to the home address or via the email indicated by the Data Subject.
The Data Subject may express his/her refusal to continue receiving emails from Tarsus México, selecting the "unsubscribe" option found at the end of each email. The refusal will be posted in the Tarsus Mexico database in order to ensure no more emails are sent to the Data Subject.

IX. MODIFICATIONS AND / OR UPDATES

Tarsus México reserves the right to make modifications and / or updates to the Notice at any time, in response to new legislative provisions and / or new internal policies. These modifications will be available on the Tarsus México website.
